Botany Taekwon-Do runs from two venues with a total of seven sessions a week we currently have over 140 students ranging from 3 years old to adults, with around half of the students aged between 7 and 16 years old. I am fortunate to have 3 adult Black Belts as my Assistant Instructors as well as other seniors belts at Botany Taekwon-Do classes.
Times are as follows:-
Botany Downs Primary School – Monday – Thursday
6.00pm – 7.00pm is for beginners up to green stripe.
7.00pm – 8.00pm is for green belt and above.
Botany Downs Primary School – Saturday
Saturday extra training 4.30pm – 6.00pm all grades and ages.
Plus Black session every other week.
Cockle Bay School Wednesday
All grades and ages.
Saturday training sessions
Saturday’s are a less formal type of session though TKD protocols are still followed you need to attend some evening sessions before coming to a Saturday training.
All new students can train for 2 weeks for free before they have to join and pay fees. I believe this is important so that students/parents are sure that they want to learn the art of Taekwon-Do which includes making a commitment to the club by training regularly.
Fees are all paid via automatic payment into the club account on the first of every month even if the student is not training regularly. As with all things in life costs do rise from time to time – however if there is a need to increase training fees in the future I will endeavor to only apply this to new students that start after the date of the increase. This is in recognition of the loyalty of our longer term students.
About your Instructor
I have over 23 years of martial arts experience with the last 18 years practising Taekwon-Do. I am married to Kim, who runs the administrative side of the clubs, and am father to Ryan, 23 years old (3rd Degree Blackbelt), and Nathan, 20 years old. We live in Whitford, East Auckland Kim and Ryan work locally. I believe that if you have fun and enjoy something you will learn faster and keep at it, therefore my classes are fun and demanding places where we work hard and play hard.
